The art of David Dees. The art of David Dees.

Some background info.

Note: I am not advocating any of Dees's bizarre positions on various issues, merely pointing at his body of work so that you might gawk at it in a mix of mirth and horror.

Is the first link showing us that he does "normal" work too? Or that he hides these zorro marks everywhere? I didn't see any Stars of David.

A biography of Dees posted to his Website claims that his images are "an attempt to wake others up about the onslaught of the elite's power hungry world government plan of domination."

A four corner simultaneous 4-day attempt to wake others up about the onslaught of the elite's power hungry world government plan of domination in only 24 hour rotation.

His kids art does contain some hidden messages...but they're so subtle its hard to discern what they might be!

Wow. I had no idea that my brain was wired to immediately think "Rick Deees! And the weekly top fortyyyyyyyyyyyy!" upon seeing that name until the dief's comment. (Why on earth did I listen to Top 40 radio for so long?

Scroll through this stuff people. Some of it is clearly is anti-semetic and post should be flagged.

Holocaust denial, chemtrails, Bohemian Grove, poison vaccines...
...and here, I'm most offended by the Illegal Immigration junk. A fascist government run by jews? Sure, whatever...couldn't be completely untrue. Repeated statements about how rowdy, unsafe and stupid Mexicans are? Dude, that sucks.

Seekerofsplendor: I'm in no way advocating anti-semitism in this post. Being able to look at this stuff and laugh at its sheer childish ridiculousness is probably not helping this man's cause much.

Wow, really?

tehloki: The art of David Dees. The art of David Dees.

Given the fact that the book in the first link was co-authored with a woman named Naomi Kleinberg, I would wager that the first David Dees is probably not the same person as the second David Dees.

Also, if anyone's interesting, I've discovered a way to use vector calculus to prove that 2 + 2 = 4.

I took a graduate class in International Relations from David Deese.

koeselitz: Did you look at the rest of the first website? This page shares quite a bit in common with my second link.

EMRJKC94: It's the same guy

Yeesh, well, isn't that interesting.

I guess the guy has to make a living. One wonders if Naomi Kleinberg or Sesame Street - or any of his children's work clients - knew anything about his 'other art.' I would not have hired him. The possible difficulties seem astronomical. But I guess I don't really know how children's books are published.

On lack of preview: EMRJKC beat me to it, but it's worth nothing that deesillustration actually links to the rense.com archive of dees's work.

Hmm. From the Muppet Wiki:

David Dees is an illustrator who has worked for Sesame Street Magazine since 1996. He specializes in children, cartoons, and science fiction/fantasy. He has also worked for Warner Brothers Animation and Disney Home Video.

I guess his political art is the "science fiction/fantasy" part.

Wait, is that art? All I see is overwrought, garish, on the nose, fucked up Photoshop kitsch with some confused, belligerent, dumb "messages" thrown in. The second link is even worse.

Wow ... he's really running with that holocaust denial thing, huh?

Damn, I don't know what to make of this link. It's like Stormfront merged with Worth1000.

Alright! All this holocaust denyin' and all these insinuations about Obama's sexuality, I was worried he wasn't gonna hit all the right-wing nutjob classics. Oh, me of little faith.

I'm gonna go looking for the one about soccer and the one about how annoying it is to have to be "so PC" all the time.

Angry white men are fucking hilarious.

Angry white men are fucking hilarious.

I'm starting to think that might be the theme of the artist's work. Taken as a whole, the body of work approaches parody.

He apparently didn't have a problem working for all all those jews over at disney. What a hypocrite.

They control international finance *and* the media. They've looted the economy and they're lying about it all to keep us in the dark about their evil plot to enslave us all and take over the world! Thank God we've got the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion Ron Paul this crappy illustrator to show us the truth!

I am loving the BUDD UGLY BUD-NAV[TM] SYSTEM in the first link, on the left of the page. Really, poke around its JPEG-artifacty goodness a bit.
