that's a really creative school assignment. if I were his teacher, I would give him an A.

That was pretty entertaining as soon as I turned the sound off.

On the other hand,

You might want to grade him down a bit for borrowing his idea from elsewhere (although in fairness he does cite his sources...)

NB: the Royskopp video is also better with the sound turned off

And just released today via direct download for a mere $9.99...
Little Red Riding Hood, creatively animated and retold.

... by Tale of Tales, the game company started by the multi-Webby winning design team of Auriea Harvey & Michael Samyn over at entropy8zuper ... featuring a haunting soundtrack by Jarboe of The Swans.

This is not a review of the game. This, however, is, albeit without a rating. This one, however, does have a rating.

"The Path" was previously amongst the few in the running for Independent Game of the Year award, and is being released this week at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, where it is nominated in the “Excellence in Visual Art” category.

Lots of Red Riding goodness going on out there...!

I thought it was pretty awesome. Even if the idea was recycled, the execution was very good.

Now do Goldilocks! (let's see: hair dye, bears, porridge mix, heat loss relative to volume of container, 200 thread count bedsheets...)

I am so excited for that Path game. I hope the Mac version comes out sooner rather than later.

I'd still give him an A. Both were awesome.

My favorite retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood tale is Le Dernier Chaperon Rouge (The Last Red Riding Hood) by Jan Kounen.

If anyone knows where I can get a copy of this with English subs, 'twould be much appreciated!

(Oh, hmm, I should warn people that my above link is pretty twisted and might be NSFW or children for blood/gore/really short dress.)

Cool, but yeah, shame about the music, though.

Should've been this.

Freeway is a retelling of Red Riding Hood but only the title sequence is animated.

THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD IS IN WINNIE THE EFFIN' POOH, NOT GRIMM'S FAIRY TALES.

No, I don't spend too much time reading children's books. Not at all.

(Oh yeah, it was a pretty cute little video.)

There is a game for the Nintendo DS called Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ.

After the recent double, I watched both again. Very inspiring for some reason. I think it's because infographics are typically pretty cold, if not dry, and emotionless.

Anyone know how this was created? What kinds of software would be best for making a video like this?
