Sometimes a blog to lead to more writing work: a book deal, maybe a movie. Carol Blymire (previously) started a blog and seems to have been offered one of the most coveted positions in professional cooking. (via)

What day is it today? This may or may not be a joke. I need some coffee.

That sure is one weird idea of an April Fool's joke.

Carol is almost not certainly going to work at Alinea. She is known for her April Fool's pranks.

ARG. *Almost certainly NOT.

I have that Alinea book, I got it for Christmas. It is so profoundly stupid as to defy belief. It is full of pointless impossible recipes and food so tortured that to call it food is a slur against Kraft Dinner. Perhaps the whole book is an April Fools gag.

Great joke and any excuse to put her blog on the blue is a good thing.

I'm betting it's a 4/1 joke too. The odds of her picking up her life and moving to Chicago to be a line cook is slim to none.
