Neat video. But I've played Mirror's Edge, and I don't remember stacking dice with a can, throwing cards, or skateboarding.

EA, Hire this man, he just made your sequel.

So "Mirror's Edge" must be what the kids are calling "car sickness" these days?

One-handed? Jesus.

I would no doubt be very impressed by many of those moves if I could at all see what he was doing.

VOMIT!

but still, you know, very cool

I'm tempted to do a parody of this - a very shaky camera shows me reading a book and sipping tea for 15 minutes. With gloves on my hands.

The video was alright, I guess.

Quick guys, let's turn this into a "Mirror's Edge is awesome" thread!

I sure hope he gets away!

Thanks, utsutsu, I was very impressed (as promised).

Is there footage of him misjudging a jump and falling off a side of the building? I seemed to do that a lot while playing the game.

The show reel was 1e9x better than the original link.

Hey that's Gas Works Park!

Parkour is loads of fun to watch, but only when you can actually see what's going on. This is very difficut.

No 5m wall run to pipe catch? pssh, amateur.

although my experience of the game more closely resembles aGee's, as well as Ben Croshaw's.

Neat. That video led me to his great entry for American Parkour's "Practical Parkour" contest.

Oh, I get it. Laugh at the poor kid because he put his snorricam on backwards.

You people are mean.

Can't help but think it would have been more interesting if a helicopter gunship and a steadycam were involved...

I thought the show reel would give this guy's skills a breather from the cheesy soundtrack......not a chance.

This man's physical capabilities far exceed my own.

Also, Mirror's Edge was tough, frustratingly so at times, but still a pretty fun playthrough.

In fact I'm pretty sure he's trying to escape from a relentless, ruthless maelstrom of cheese.

utsutsu: "echo target: check out one of his show reels in the related videos."

Pffft... he puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us... *watches video*

...

I stand corrected.

In some way I'm glad I'm an out-of-shape 30+ year old guy; if I could do the stuff that guy can I would basically never stop. "Hmmm... I feel a bit tired!" *flip* *flip* *somersault* *grab coffee* *flip* *wallrun* *do a rad inverse 720 Shyamalan twist* *drop from a handstand back onto the chair* "Now I'm ready to continue coding!" *sip*

My kid has wanted to get into parkour for a little while. Borrowing Mirror's Edge from a friend only bolstered his desire to do this. I will be such a proud father when I watch him jump from building to building OH JEEBUS WHAT AM I SAYING! Please kids, stop all this madness!!!!

But it is quite fun to watch.

I sort of like his nerdy, obsessive, DIY approach to 'extreme'—somehow, the cheese-factor makes this guy seem like even more of a badass. In the FPP video, I was particularly impressed by the ghost-ride bike move; not just the physicality and timing but the shot too.

Mirror's Edge PC is on sale at GoGamer today, FWIW.

I only played a demo at NVision, which was kinda fun but I haven't convinced myself I need to buy it.

It's a pity I don't have any mushrooms in the house, or my pet turtle and I would show you our 'real-life Mario Brothers.'

It's probably just as well. My pet turtle doesn't like it very much.
