Filipino Komiks Masters

The Philippine Comics Art Museum. 1940's to the present.
Yeah, I use to collect Alex Niño back in the day. But while Nestor Redondo was a fine artist, he was no Wrightson, and Swamp Thing was never the same when he took over.
There seems to be an extensive tradition of acadmic/classical realism in the Philippines, none of that weak manga stuff. I've taken a few classes with this guy, not a comics guy but an excellent realist.

Great find. I'll be clicking away as I tuck into this plate of pork sisig.

W00t. I am so interested in komiks (and Darna! I love her!) but they are pretty hard to come by in the US.

Absolutely awesome find. On a similar vein, I was wandering the net looking for inspiration and came across Polish film posters. Essentially a Polish remix of classic movie posters.
