Blanka is a feral, green-skinned beastman who lives in the Amazon rain forest.

(Cool site, netbros.)

More accurately, Blanka is a site that's selling stuff.

It's not even peak hours and I still can't even be the first to a joke, even a goddamn streetfighter one.

but yeah, really cool site. probably gonna spend a good chunk of time digging through it, especially considering i'm probably not going to be able to go back to bed now (fucking construction workers).
sigh.

I failed to find the vintage. I prefer Vintage Poster. And they do not "collect prints to sell or just inspire". This is a bad post.

While it seems the greater majority of the art available is newly printed, especially so the graphic design stuff, I wonder how its working out for them selling existing works.

For instance they've got a Jamie Reid piece that's especially nice, but they go on to note "THIS POSTER WAS USED AT THE ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY AT VIRGIN RECORDS IN NOTTING HILL GATE. THIS POSTER HAS SINCE THEN BEEN PRISTINELY STORED AND IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION."

So this work not only has been around a while but apparently has been lots of places. Buying something like this (and I do from time to time), I'd really need to see the art in person and closely before dumping almost a thousand pounds, especially so as they've got a close up of someone's kid very casually handling it or another print in the series (difficult to tell from the web site).

Jamie Reid's stuff is of particular interest to myself, as I collect Situationist International material (pamphlets, posters, the odd photo or original painting) or the work of artists inspired by The Situationists (insert obligatory SI quote here -- Constant Anton Nieuwenhuys -- "Creation and revolutionary struggle have the same objective: the realisation of life." ).

I'm not really sure what Reid is up to now, he was with Aquarium L-13 here in London for a long time, but sadly they wound up about a year ago. So its actually good to see an online source of his work.

I already own a few of the same first edition prints Blanka are selling and it seems most of their stuff is fairly priced.

Interesting site - thanks for posting.

Is there a site out there called M.Bison, about taking original, vintage and limited edition posters and prints and going at them with a Sharpie?
