The Ginger Darlings...

'We Three Cats' -- "telling tales, of walking in wild places, of painting, of sleeping in warm places and of mice and other things," as chronicled by children's book illustrator and artist Jackie Morris.
There were long horned ginger cows by the old village with great horned heads, and I would like some horns like that so I could be the great-horned-ginger-cat of the hills.

Yeah, normally I'd dismiss something like this as trivial and precious. But this is awesome--the pictures are beautiful and go very well with the text.

I seriously miss gorse and the coos and everything that made Scotland feel like home. I'll just have to go snuggle my ginger cat.

Wales looks like a great place to be a cat. And everybody wants to be a cat. Cuz a cat's the only cat, who knows where it's at.

Makes me sad for my strictly indoor cats. Then again, we don't live in the countryside but close to a busy road.

How idyllic. If I ever have to tell a small child that their cat has gone to pet heaven, I'm showing them this blog as evidence.
