Remember the M&M's Dark Movies game from 2006? Empire Magazine has a new movies-hidden-in-a-painting-vaganza, called The Cryptic Canvas.

23 in and I'm starting to slow down. Part of the problem is the quality of the painting; what the hell is that weird little thing in the cemetery, near the cheerleaders?

it appears to be a guy hunched over with a gun lying next to him.

Amazing. I actually considered posting over on AskMe recently to see if anyone knew anything like that M&Ms puzzle out there. Now to go attempt to crack it.

Doesn't load for me. An Ad-block problem?

Got it! Jeez, a few of those were ridiculous.

Yeah, AdblockPlus in Firefox seems to block it. I'm on Opera, so I didn't notice.

Got to 47 without searching the internets for help. Of the remaining 3, one I'd never heard of the movie, another I should have gotten, and the third was just very deviously hidden.

42 after a long session. I think I'm tapped out, so I'm looking forward to hints.

Cars? Tombstone? The Shadow?

I think there are at least 80 movies here, not 50.

....Can anyone give any hints on the thing with the two lutes, the woman putting books in a meat grinder, and the Frankenstein unloading Cerberus from the van?

Examine the van carefully, Empress. I'm clueless on the lutes and the bookgrinder, too. Also the parking dragon?

lutes
bookgrinder
parking dragon
