Buzz Aldrin don't have any beef with no earth walkers.

Buzz Aldrin, aka Doc Rendezvous, raps about his Rocket Experience. The video even comes with a making-of featuring Snoop Dog and Talib Kweli. Reflections on the video as being more than internet ephemera.

I was fully expecting for this to be a spoof, with some nerdcore artist rapping from Buzz' "perspective".

But that's really Buzz Aldrin. That's really his voice, really video of him. And he can't flow, and he's a little unsure of himself. And for some reason, it feels genuine.

I know, I know, it's supposed to be a joke. And the making-of clearly is. But, for some reason, it just doesn't feel that way.

The fact that Buzz Aldrin did a rap song is far cooler than the song itself.

Hell Buzz Aldrin has probably punched more mofos in the face than most gangsta rappers...

Buzz Aldrin is the new Chuck Norris?

Buzz Aldrin is the new Chuck Norris?

Buzz Aldrin didn't go to the moon. The moon came to him.

Buzz Aldrin didn't have a problem letting Armstrong step out first. He'd already been the week before.

If Buzz Aldrin had been on Apollo 13, they wouldn't have had to slingshot around the moon. He would've just gotten out and pushed.

Buzz Aldrin doesn't need a suit for an EVA.

The other reason Buzz Aldrin let Armstrong go first is that he couldn't have made a small step of any sort.

Buzz Aldrin doesn't need a ballistics computer. He can plot intra-solar transfer orbits in his head to six figures.

He only needs a sliderule for extra-solar ones.

Buzz Aldrin's heart pumps a fifty-fifty mix of bravery and Tang.

In an attempt for self promotion and to keep himself current I hope I don't see Buzz on the next season of I am a Celebrity, Get Me Outta Here.

Finally the add favorite button is working again. WTF happened with that? I was perplexed for days.

Wow. What an extraordinarily uncharitable view of gramps being convinced to do something silly by overenthusiastic kids.

Buzz Aldrin quite clearly enjoys life.

aw, he's so cute at 3:04 with "I am the Space Man".

damn right, you are.

i must admit, that snoop dog is behind this together with the "all you need is the rocket experience" chorus makes me worried that this will end up on a Virgin Galactic commercial.

It's terribly embarrassing to watch and yet.. Hey, it's Buzz Aldrin.

He can rap about going to the moon all he wants because HE WENT TO THE MOON!

In my book, if you went to the moon: hey, free ride for life. You got more cool points than Fonzie had on his best days. More than Starsky, Hutch, Bo, Luke, Ponch, Jon, Bullitt, Tyler Durden, Shaft, Burt Reynolds, John Lennon, Darth Vader, Samuel L Jackson, Batman, or Jesus.

Combined.

... and multiplied. When the Apollo 11 Crew stood next to Pres. Obama, Obama's cool had to stand over in the press corp area.

Saw this yesterday after he mentioned it on a CSPAN interview which is worth watching.

. Bizarre. Gotta be a half joke. I don't believe his other passion aside from Space is Hip Hop. He also likes Twitter a lot- his agent must have told him to mention it often.
But nonetheless, Buzz is awesome.
