This is my favourite post from Jacquilynne's wonderful Etsy snark blog (brilliant concept, wish I'd thought of it). The post headline (heh! she said headline!) made me laugh for minutes on end.

That pillow is amazing. Stitching it probably took longer than just doing stretches until you could auto-fellate to your heart's content.

Behold: The most awesome pendant in the history of ever.

I respectfully disagree.

Everyone needs a Medusa's head tote bag. (Commissioned by an online friend.)

Great site, well done. I subscribed a few days ago, and I am glad someone posted it to the front page.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.

Captain Cardanthian, that's some weird-ass shit. I haven't run it across it before.

OH MY LORD. My grandmother made me a set of these when I was a kid. So awesome to be reminded of them now.

How do you find things to blog, jacquilynne? Are you randomly searching Etsy?

Ah, I was looking for a new bag. This will do quite nicely. It is both understated and tasteful!

On a more sincere note, I am now very grateful to this blog for introducing me to this seller and their elegant metal and acrylic jewelry. Some beautiful designs, and they're all ridiculously affordable. And their earrings are almost enough to make me consider piercing my ears.

How do you find things to blog, jacquilynne? Are you randomly searching Etsy?

I sit, mesmerized by the Recently Listed page, until something catches my attention. It might be marked by the sharp intake of breath that means WANT! or a sudden tension headache, but something will eventually jump out of the otherwise repetitive mix.

I screenshot them and tag them and write some snark around them and save them for later. Once I get a couple of things that work the same theme, I'll often do a search to find one more to complete the day's set. I sometimes pick up a few more things in those searches than I can use immediately, so I save those for later, as well.

There's honestly no shortage of material on Etsy, though. You could do almost anything on the site that trolled you through lots of listings and find this kind of stuff. It's everywhere.

The "Amish in the front, rumspringa in the back" comment nearly had me snorting milk out my nose.

Some days, I carry my Coach purse. Some days I carry my skull backpack. You'd be surprised how many people stop me and comment that they love it. Yeah, I requested it. Yes, my taste is questionable some days.

@Greg Nog: Thanks! For whatever reason, I haven't poked over to Mefi Projects in... ever?

LOVE this blog. Needs a submit button so fans can send you links on their Etsy wanderings when they stumble across something that makes them think, "WTF Etsy?!?"

Like this. Or this. Or this. My God.

I, too, have been gorging on Etsy lately.

Leading my personal WTF hit parade is this piece of somewhat NSFW jewelry couture.

Tying for the top of my I-must-have-this-exquisite-spendy-thing-or-I-will-just-die list are this and this.

I sent that one to a friend of mine who is a Mennonite. I'm sure she'll appreciate it even more than us!

The Pink Superhero: here, have a cockroach bowl.

Ha, I love that the cockroach bowl creator assures us it is "food safe."

(Great blog, jacquilynne!)

Excellent - jacquilynne, that is a most entertaining blog, I'll be checking back often. I love unusual etsy finds and your commentary is great!

Here are a few etsy offerings have amused me recently: a pair of dueling penis hats; anatomy dresses from the same seller as one of palmcorder_yajna's links; a blood choker necklace and puppy pansies.

Unfortunately, it looks like Jacquilynne is quitting the Etsy blog business.

Oh no, that's terrible that you've been getting nasty e-mails. (Death threats! WTF?) I am sorry you had to deal with this, jacquilynne.
