Just some light reading...

Just some light reading... Buck Wolf is a producer at ABCNEWS.com who writes a twice-weekly column on items currently in the news. Nice, light reading, a few laughs, and some stuff you didn't know before (probably). Do any of you have favourite sites with interesting stuff for reading on slow news days?

If I'm really bored, A&L Daily usually has something (but I guess that's hardly a surprise to anyone!).

There's this site, I can't quite put my finger on it. But I know it has a blue look to it. Yes! The background is blue. That's all I have to go on though.

I like reading Mary Schmich's column in the Chicago Tribune. She's responsible for the essay used in that "Everybody's Free" song. Everyone believed it was a Vonnegut piece, but it really wasn't. I like her perspective.

Talking about our favorite blogs again, are we? What a closed loop this all is. Anyway, Andrew Smales, proprietor of Diaryland, is the funniest blogger ever. Yes, funnier than Lincoln.

My Uncle Joey is 76 years old (or so) and writes movie reviews. I don't always agree with him, but most of the time I do, and I find it interesting to read what an elderly gentleman thinks about today's cinema.

Want yo' entertainment? For movies, it's got the be The Filthy Critic (may be offensive to some). For music, it's got to be rootnode.org, the closest thing to a real underground music mag online.

Bonzo neglects to mention that rootnode is also *his* site, so take his recommendation with that in mind.
