Just saw him opening for Dream Theater last month. Damned if he didn't pretty much steal the show. ZPZ is one hell of an outfit.

"I saw Frank live five times, each time at either Boston’s Orpheum Theater or the Music Hall, which is now known as the Wang Center."

Anyone here ever watch Dweezil & Lisa on the Food Network? Man, that show was horrible.

ANd the OP is right...I don't care.

For where-are-they-now, funny-name celebs y'all really ought to turn your sight towards Soliel Moon Frye or Danica McKellar- both are intelligent, independent, and weapons-grade hot.

Dweezil Zappa is also pretty hot, though. For real.

Don't care (and am tired) but the 'z' link is at least pretty in-depth, and as interesting as any interview with random musician types goes.

And in 40 years he has NOT ripped anyone's flesh... that we know of. Who says your name is your destiny?

Dweezil is lucky enough to have the surname Zappa and the access it allows to top-notch musicians and the musical legacy of his father, but also unlucky enough to have to live up to his name. He's a pretty swell guitarist for sure, anyway.

Here is some ZPZ (hey, Incan Roads!)

Cares enough to return after six months.

He had the best line in The Running Man: *Threatens with Uzi, menacingly* "Don't touch that dial!"

I care. I care.
I saw Frank a few times in NY and Detroit.
Saw Dweezil last year during the Zappa Plays Zappa tours.
Dweezil has leeched a bunch of talent from his dad.

Moon and Dweezil video.

I've always found Moon the more intriquing of the two.

That's a good point--that although the names are wacky, they retained the branded last name. I really doubt my kids will be able to make any money at all off of my last name.

That's why I changed my last name to Nilla-Wafer.

Why are people so anti-Dweezil as to be so bitterly indifferent?

Best of the web. Sigh.

I purchased Music For Pets when it first came out. It had a second disk and some stickers. I liked a lot of the songs. Others were crap. My favorites?

Boodledang and Music for Pets.

I think his father is a genius. The son is a pretty good musician.

'Nuff said.

I personally love my "wiggy"amp that Peavey and Dweezil put their names on... yes, it can go loud, amazing tone control, and the head shaped like a car dashboard... please hold back the excitement in here; the Dweezil loving fervor is almost oppressive in here :)

alas; I do find myself wishing there were an aftermarket "volume-to-11" dial, so I could get REAL loudness, and so I could one day be a REAL rocker.

'Dweezil Zappa has turned 40' reminds me that his father didn't make it to his 53rd birthday.

Which is sobering to contemplate.
