The Muslim community in New York and New Jersey is loving these guys. Lots of e-mails going back and forth.

This reminds of New York Masjid, which is a book you should pick up if you want a look at Muslim community. Check out the interview with the photographer and a slideshow.

I wonder if they'll get to visit the Futa Islamic Center in Morrisania in the Bronx. They're renting their location now after losing it in a foreclosure sale and could use the publicity for their legal battle.

That's a really fascinating link in and of itself, but it also lead me to the Brooklyn Bedouin blog, which had a particularly worthwhile story, I thought.
