Clips from each six episodes of BBC's Walk on the Wild Side, which involves the overdubbing of voices to natural history footage. 1 2 3 4 5 6

Upon first glance, I'm thinking "live action version of Creature Comforts". Upon second glance, they aren't trying very hard to sync the voices to the animals. I'll give it two more glances, and if it doesn't get better, fuggedaboudit*.

The Tent Revival bird on the second clip, 'Commodore Monkey' near the end of clip 5 and the last scene with the 'creepy new neighbor' owl made me giggle; otherwise, notsomuch. But the YouTube clip of "Sharon and Ozzy Gophers" in not available in the USofA? BBCFail!

Hold up. This is a real show? This is not just some friends playing around with BBC clips and distributing them on YouTube?

Not paying your license fee is a criminal offence.

This is so bad it makes Bob Saget look like a frigging comedy genius.

This is one of the very few television shows, that if it comes on I had to switch over/off immediately... poor old Johnny Morris must be spinning in his grave.

Still not bad enough to resuscitate Dave Coulier's career though. BBC you're gonna have to do betterworse than that!

I fell about when the puffins/Laughing Policeman bit came on, and loved the Sharon and Ozzy gophers. I don't feel it comes up to the standard of Squawkie Talkie though, but that might be nostalgia getting the better of me.
