The EU seems quite comfortable

The EU seems quite comfortable with governments keeping data on their citizens, but they restrict what data businesses can keep. Compare and constrast with typical USian feelings on those same subjects. Please write on both sides of the paper.

I've never understood why the US distrust their government so much. In a third world country this would make sense, but why are you Americans so paranoid?

Could anyone imagine a British version of the X-files? The idea that the British government is constantly conspiring against its people is laughable.

Um.

Although your sentiments are mainly correct, in that the British Government gets the Americans to do its snooping.
