News from the Field on The Archeology Channel
The Archaeology Channel is a collection of individually submitted reports and presentations of new research in archaeology, in various media formats. This high-tech self-publishing is really popular with archaeologists; it reminds me of Harappa.com. Yet, I don't know of any sites like this.

Ah, the Philosophical Gourmet... not a bad guide, despite the backlash. At least, unlike the US News and World Report, it gives a detailed breakdown of how their rankings are created... and this is important stuff -- graduate school in philosophy is bitchhard to get into...
