Whoops! Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble looking at SAAB's US homepage in IE 5.0?

doesn't work in IE 6.0
I assume you're referring to the overlapping text/images?

your mistaking me for someone who cares

Yep, starduck, that's my problem too.

Is that a bug in IE 6.0, or is that a bug in the code of the site? Being a developer, I care when major issues like that come up on a large corporate website.

And monkeyJuice, if you don't care, then why did you bother posting?

This is the second "My browser makes this page look like crap, what about you?" post in the last week. I can't seem to locate the other, perhaps it was rightly killed. I hope this is not a new post trend....Perhaps y'all could ask Matt to create a MetaTalk section for such design anomaly discussions.

I would agree that a single apparent browser-specific problem is not worth starting a thread about. As a general proposition, it sounds, whether it's true or not, that the poster either has a vendetta against the site's owner or (more likely) designer.

oo! oo! lets all have a discussion about a site (which most of u have nothing to with) that doesn't work properly. Well thats fun! - get back to work! or do something constructive.

bgluckman - i posted it because, well i thought i'd exercise my right to free speach - not that its got anything to do with you in the first place - i could always ask y u are so concerned with why i post, but i cant be arsed

there's these sites called bulletin boards whose specific function is the discussion of web development. I'd link to them but there's this site called Google...

If I had a Saab, I would drive it to someplace that sells pancakes.

If I had a Saab, I would sell it so that I could buy pancakes.

If pancakes were no more, I would lock myself in my room and saab myself to sleep.

What about a Saab pancake?

i hate to add to this thread but tdstone is absolutely correct. why in the hell are people posting that particular web sites aren't working for them w/their one single version of X browser. who gives 2 shits about saab.com not working w/IE 5? why aren't people testing 8 other browsers and versions rather than telling everyone that a web site doesn't look right w/their one single particular version of a broswer. e-mail the saab webmaster about the problem. i'm certain if i went to 10 other large company web sites and tested them w/10 different versions of browsers that 8 out of 10 of them would have some incompatibility or another.

these posts are shite. please, go post this crap somewhere else.
