This was disturbing, and then amusing, and after Mayor Curley's observation, it became encouraging as well. Nicely done.

As added background, I noticed that this video was made by a duo called Rhett & Link. This video was part of a campaign sponsored by Microbilt, where the two went around filming ads for local businesses.

Oh, and that Skippy guy was a plant.

Oh, I didn't realize it was a complete setup. I thought it was one of those really bad, actually real commercials, not just a complete setup by the makers of the commercial. Still hilarious though, like Big Bill Hell's.

I think you're missing the principal of the thing.

I am either missing a reference (in which case I apologize for requesting that you ruin the joke by explaining it) or I am being told how I feel about something by someone who is wrong about it. I wish there were a funny way for me to request clarification on the point, but I can't think of anything.

posted by Blazecock Pileon at 11:40 AM on February 12, 2010

Not ironic at all.
I am not being sarcastic.

I will get a trailer at Cullman Liquidation Center to live in so I can save some bucks in the Bucks First Federal Credit Union and use the dividends to get a tattoo at True Blue Tattoos that says "I love this commercial".

That is how much I liked it.

Well the back end of the metaphor is all well and good, but is this how people in Bucks County make their money in the first place? Do they just drive around hoping to get lucky and run over some cash in the middle of the road? I predict disaster if we take this stranger's advice.
