whatis.com is a site that makes me weep. They used to be all homegrown and shit. Then they got bought, and broke their site. I ranted about it roughly 2 years ago. Basically their redesign did not account for their old link style. That stinks, because URLs should live forever. Or couldn't they just make a system like php.net where if you just type the domain and add a string, it attempts to find it in their function reference - like so http://www.php.net/print. You can find the old version at this mirror - rudy.ca pointed this out not too long ago.
Oh, and why does this matter? Because sometimes, URL is UI.
