Considering how tattoo enthusiasts tend to revel in excess, I think this is a really interesting experiment in restraint and will result in more good, creative ideas (and tattoos) than bad.

consider me shocked that half the tattoos are star wars related.

I'm wondering how well these tattoos hold up. Wouldn't smaller images be more likely to be illegible once they age and blur?

Still, the final products are really clever and (dare I say it?) cute.

I got my first tattoo back in November, and it's amazing how addicting it is. I'm holding off with restraint before I decide what to get for my second, but I get the itch every couple of weeks to just go get something random.

I'm not that into tattoos, but there's some darned cute stuff in there. It almost makes me want to get tatted up.

I really like the skull on the hand. Very clever. No more lame eyes and lips drawn on with a sharpie for that guy. Senor Wences would be proud.

These are way more cute then they have any right to be.

I've been living here for nearly three years and I'm still not convinced that this "Loonie" and "Toonie" business isn't some elaborate trick to make me sound stupid, should I eventually cave and stop referring to them as the "dollar coin" and "two-dollar coin," respectively. These people have a history of such things.

What kind of person would allow themselves to be used as the canvas for a competition like this?

The kind of person who'd like a neat little tattoo. I'd consider participating.

Well, you're half-right. It's not all that elaborate.

These are neat!
