I see, it's cause he's the world's most aggressive machete salesman, and she doesn't want a machete but he keeps trying to sell her one but then she's like "I already have a machete thanks"

I was expecting some sort of TED-style presentation that linked the ecological effects of climate change on the oceans to impacts on our physical health and our bodies, which as we all know, are largely composed of water.
But this was good, too, and I probably wouldn't have watched the other thing all the way through anyway.

You should take a look at some of Wareheim's other videos. Major Lazer, MGMT, Depeche Mode. They're all built around coherent, interesting visual ideas, they respect the music, and they're surprising and disconcerting, but not necessarily "humorous". There's some real talent here. I kind of can't wait for the inevitable first movie (which I'm guessing will not be a comedy, or at least anything that's immediately recognizable as comedy...)

all I could think about is how completely different the mood was on set as they were filming vs. the final product. Do you think the fat guy in dirty undies and the hip kid wearing a wig and a red dress were laughing like hell between takes?
Answer: yes!
I think this is what they were thinking before the whole genital mutilation incident....

1. Take one RED Camera
2. Shoot video at 120 fps
3. Play back at 24 fps for instant super-slow-mo
4. LOOK! I GENIUS.

Have to say I like the track. The pay-off on the video is pitifully obvious. It's like The Running Man but not as sexy.

They could have made this video OK if it had only contained oblique/confusing shots of the antagonist's face. Then as the head bounces on the floor you see a ball gag in his mouth. Would still be schlocky, but more fun.

I didn't think it was particularly well done or interesting -- cinematically or musically.
Interesting that Youtube doesn't put an adult content warning on a video showing someone getting stabbed violently in the balls with a sharp stick, then getting decapitated with a machete with fake blood spraying everywhere.

If you stab a man in the dick, the only decent thing to do is to quickly decapitate him.

To the people who don't like it:
This video is cool because of the general Tim and Eric style of filming fleshy things is taken to a context outside the comedy show they already do, it does some cool things with gender stereotypes, and the music is good. Awesome.
