The free box is a webseries about eccentric housemates in portland. It has three 10-episode seasons, and a fourth in preproduction.
I still think we need a show with mathowie and cortex. Either they'd be all Odd Couple and it'd be funny, or they'd get along swimmingly and it would be awesome.
It's win-win!

As for the free box - I watched the beginnings of a few and it was kind of tortured and forced.

with the title, it seems like it would be neat if each month one of the roommates was offered a box with a button that would reward them with a million dollars but would result in the death of somebody else in the house.

On first read, I thought the show had "three 10-second episodes." For a moment, it seemed right up my alley.

It kind of has to grow on you, but the later episodes of the first season and the second season are really good.

The general alt-culture no car owning pot smoking living with housemates shopping at the co-op scene in Portland vastly outnumbers the Reed enrollment numbers.

I never knew the Reed SU had one. Lots of places here have free boxes though (my bike shoes came from the free box outside my favorite bike store), I have even lived in houses with a "house free box", it didn't occur to me that the title may be referring to a single iconic one.

I am guessing that having her disappear in the way she did was an attempt to write her out of the series in a way that left open the possibility that she would eventually return. It was their equivalent to the soap opera "character goes into coma" plot twist.
