spoiler alert: There are only 18 kitty faces, cause you know you were going to count them too.

It's like playing Space Harrier with kitty heads.

They might as well call it Confuse-a-Cat. One of my cats is sniffing around behind my laptop looking for who's making the noise.

I know some little kids who will love this. Thanks, N.

oooh they spin too.

Mr. Pr0n, upon finding an array of cats and a dog staring at my computer speakers with rapt attention as I click through the kittens: "If they pee on something because of this, it's all your fault!"

On the first one, my cat woke up with a start. On the second, he growled and tried to find the interloper. I didn't have the heart to hit it a third time.

This has completely ruined someone's nap here.

Great, now this is all I can see when I close my eyes.

Heh...My cat is running all over the place trying to find the interlopers. Good fun.

Metafilter: Our cats suspect interlopers

The ones at my place do too, but I got them all nipped up first, so they'd be freaking out anyway.

IS KITTIES!

Yeah, this one makes my cats freak out too. Not many other computer cat noises do that, except this one.

Haha, I just emailed this to my cat!

is there a commonly-understood word (like "meow" or "purr") for that clicking sound that kitties make when they see birds? Here's a video of my cat doing it.

Chattering

Yeah, the rotating is fun - and the floating head-ness. Thanks for posting.

I've always called that "chittering."

Count another nap ruined. sorry, Prettykitty.

I was all "eh, whatever," and I was "haha, they spin!" My slightly harried day is better now.

Couldn't get it to load, so I looked at the source to find the .swf file.

There's a surprise, but I won't spoil it.

Coltrane and Mingus, the two oldtimers, are not fooled, but six-month-old Bootsy has already circled the couch at least five times.

Their dark eyes spoke to me and told me to kill.

Hey it worked for Son of Sam.

My bird is not happy.

It's pretty obvious that both my cats hate this. But at least they've stopped fighting each other and asking to go outside now. Distraction FTW!

Dog torture, ftw. This is the most I have laughed all week.

Aaand I just saw the red-eyed demon cat and laughed even harder. I might need diapers.

I used Google translate for animals.

One of the cats said: "I am battling with Kant's deontological ethic, whats your view on the nature of emotion in humans?"

My cat is not very happy that I am playing this.

My cat just shredded the den curtains and holed the left leg of my jeans, all in a micro-second. Now she's running madly off in all directions. Who do I send the bill to?

This is AWESOME. The smart cat ran to the window to see if the bad kitties were outside, the dumb cat skittered off in confusion and ran headfirst into the couch, and the fat cat just looked at me disdainfully.

Belshazzar immediately went on FULL RED ALERT and scanned for the invading army. Ozymandius just woke up and went trotting over to see what his brother wanted.

Then they both went poofy and stared verrrrrrry closely at the laptop. (Their tails look like Hobbes' on the rare occasions Hobbes was frightened. Bel and Ozzy are frightened considerably more often.)

If you click rapidly the "meow"-ing in quick succession starts to sound like music.
