Massive Justice Through the Ages mural is in need of a new home. Outdoor mural by the late renowned Central City artist Angelo di Benedetto, has graced the ceiling of the open-air first floor of the building since 1978. One of my personal favorites in a city filled with outdoor art. The smartest guys in the room have found a solution.

They should take detailed, systematic images of it before destroying it, and reconstruct it on something that isn't poisonous.

They are taking the images, but they will just put up the photos. I am sure it's more impressive in person than on these sites, so it's sad that this is the way it will be preserved.

I think the trouble with trying to do a reproduction is that the work is massive, so not only would the reproduction be expensive, it would also be difficult to display.

Wow, if I were a dadaist, this would inspire me to sneak into the Hanford site and create a masterpiece on a canvas of highly radioactive waste. Monetize THAT, art world!

(Though I might have to borrow a leaf from Michelangeo and use a really really long brush... :-)

Maybe the Flash could get Bruce Wayne to buy it.

Hopefully they take a high-res RAW gigapixel image of the thing. Put it online for people to look at and save it for the future when someone might want to do something with it.

Well, that's sad.
