The Mynabirds :Laura Burhenn who, like lots of good things these days, comes out of the state of Oregon. Burhenn dishes out powerful white gospel tinged soul with shades of blues and country amid strident pianos, churchy organs, chugging guitars, and crisp percussion horns n’ harmonies.

It's a strong debut, but I've been following her since she was in Georgie James with the ex-Q and Not U drummer.
"Need Your Needs"
Killer riff, great pop sensibilities. I was hoping they'd make another album together, but I'm happy she's doing well with her new band.

This album was produced by none other than songwriter/producer Richard Swift and man is it ever fantastic.

Wow, that Georgie James song is great!
I had the Mynabirds far down on a list of music to check out, and now I just bought the album, so good on ya, nola, and thanks.
