Serenity Now. (SLYT)

Seinfeld edited as an action-thriller.

I totally misread the [more inside] and thought, "Isn't Serenity already pretty actiony and thrillery?"

Was wondering how a Seinfeld/Firefly mashup would look. Considerably worse than this, I imagine. Neat find!

Sort of a Cohen Brothers fiasco, isn't it?

That worked for me. An explosion would've been nice. I'm guessing if there was an explosion in Seinfeld, they would of used it here.

I was imagining Frank Costanza flying towards the center of the galaxy to find Colonel Kurtz, who was being worshipped by reavers as a God.

I hate it when the trailer gives away the plot of the whole movie.

There was one - but it was offscreen. Uncle Leo left a spray can of oven cleaner in a hot oven. "It was a fireball!"

Reminded me of this.

This could have been very, very bad, but isn't.

"Chunky Dude" has it: "Funnier than the finale."

d'oh. I thought we'd have Mal journeying up a river solar system to look for Kurtz cannibals. Oh, wait...

So it's a movie about nothing?

While we're on the subject of Seinfeld, how have you guys been enjoying season 21?

A trailer called Serenity Now without this?
Shameless.

I kept expecting that one clip of the person driving the truck at the end of one episode as it catches on fire, but to no avail.

Still, well done.

One of the guys I used to work with would often stop, turn, look at me with narrowed eyes, and hiss, "Newman!"

Not having watched an entire episode of Seinfeld*, I didn't understand. Now I do.

(* I was in my obligatory hate-the-TV phase through most of the '90s. Space Ghost and Cowboy Bebop brought me back. If Wayne Knight were 6'3" and had callouses on his knuckles, yeah, pretty much me.)

Somehow I feel it should have ended with a voiceover of Michael Richards shouting "He's a nigger! He's a nigger! A nigger! Look, there's a nigger! Ooooh"

I enjoyed it. A surprising amount of action scenes pulled from the show.

(But, will anything ever beat "Shining" for pure, story-turned-on-its-head greatness?)
