Here is where I make a reference to the song, "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades,"
So maybe it won't be at the next rave I go to but I'm hopeful I'll be raving long enough to see these pop up sometime...

Oh Jebus, this is exactly how I pictured the future, 15 years ago.

I'm going to guess it is just a touch sensitive panel that has a projector in the base (so the glass is just a reverse projection screen with a something like a troll touch surface ontop ). Granted that is still a really awesome display / design concept, i'd imagine a few dj's and venues forking over for it. But it's appears so far to only support two forms of touch input as well.

And now I spoil it with a reference to a parody series.

It looks a lot like Abelton Live. It's a pretty cool display. The glass screen would be cool for a lot of uses. Something like Brian Eno's Bloom ipod app would be cool, a visual music synth.

While not as nifty, also see the AudioPad. It's much older, but I would think it somewhat paved the way for interactive music presentation.

Whoa, that's awesome. Only downside is dancers would huddle around the DJ instead of the dance floor but... so worth it.

And I can't wait to see this the next time I go to a rave.
