Le blog de VelosVintage is a gorgeous French blog chock full of detailed photographs and history of beautiful vintage racing bicycles from older to newer.
Nice. It's interesting to look back, not even that far back, at the bikes the pros were riding and consider how spartan they were. Racing bikes today—with deep-section rims, fat tubes zigzagging unexpectedly, and huge logos splashed everywhere in giant type—almost seem like they were designed not to go fast but to assault the eye.

Just awesome. As a vintage steel rider myself, I could spend days reading this. And probably will.

9,750 kg
That's about what my steel bike weighs. Now they race on >= 6.8 kg bikes.

Skinny steel tubes and silver components. Love it. But even better are the jerseys. One sponsor, huge logo, classic designs. No ads on asses, no white shorts, no tiny logos.
