Best is such a subjective word.

There's some duds, sure, but going through the first several pages there's been quite a few great clips.
I loved loved loved the Dali on What's My Line? clip, for instance.

From Bkln, have you seen that show on German TV that's basically just 10 old youtube memes drawn out over a half-hour? They just take 10 videos of some guy falling or eating a hot pepper and rewind and replay them each a dozen times with some Saget-style hammy motherfucker talking over it the whole time? And after ten seconds you just want to drown that guy in the toilet while raining punches on his kidneys? And the purity of this black hatred is almost enough to keep you hooked on the show, except that after every clip they preview the other nine clips and then take an ad break? So that not even bile and froth are incentive enough to watch it? Because, after all, you know you could just find those clips on the internet and watch them all in less than 2 minutes?
What I'm trying to say is that I look forward to the day when the institution of the TV channel has been entirely assimilated to the internet. There is some value to having channels gather video content according to a certain taste and demographic associated with that brand name, that the general public is aware of. At the moment internet filters are too esoteric to really play the role of channels in the public culture. But ... for the love of Christ ... when you live in a country where TV programming aspires to a black art of maximum uselessness ... yeah, you look forward to the day when the internet has entirely assimilated this function.
So I thank you for this post; it is a small step in the right direction.

I just watch the weekly =3 episodes. Ray William Johnson is kind of annoying but it gives me all I need from Youtube.

German TV? Sounds like you're describing the Comedy Central hit show "Tosh.0".

Good lord, if that's what's on German television I'm afraid to even turn my American one on.

Time to close up shop, fellas. Metafilter's been made redundant.

Wait, Creasy boy, do you mean that show hosted by the kind of pudgy, early twenties, almost-faux-hawk sporting, in a striped too small polo shirt smarmy like Saget-reciting-that-joke-in-the-Aristocrats-MC kid who engages in lots of bad lounging and aping of tv-casual tropes?
Um, no ?

Tosh.0 is like The Soup but without the funny and it just features a whole bunch of YouTube clips I've already seen about a month earlier.

Even still, it is better than Ray William Johnson and his completely over-edited bullshit. Tosh.0 redeems itself for me with the Web Redemption segment.

The dog (and his "partner") doing the meringue -- forwards, backwards and in circles yet -- was absolutely hilarious. (original URL for this video)

"Wipeout" can't be a real show, can it? Can it?

Ok, I've been entertained a hell of a lot this evening thanks to this post.
This so far is my absolute favourite; I find it utterly charming.

I'm afraid I don't know what the guy looks like, I only know him as a voice-over and like I said I don't tarry by the show, but yes, he probably looks exactly like that. The wife and I are at the point now where if it's not Futurama or Spongebob, we turn the TV off.
