notice they didn't do any downward shots so you wouldn't see all the little kitty corpses littering the sidewalks ...

Yeah, lotsa footage of cats climbing UP. Down? Not so much.

The mad skillz of the white cat at the very end did make me chuckle, though. LOOK AT ME I AM DOING A THING.

Most of that reel is legit, but it features a fair amount of CGI-enhanced footage taken from a *terribly* irritating British cat food advert.

We had a cat that did that jumping on top of the door thing but he didn't use a table--he just jumped from the floor. It was pretty amazing. Six feet straight into the air.

To be fair, those squirrels live in, y'know, trees.

Some of those weren't particularly parkour. They were simply cat.

Ah, yes, but with that soundtrack? Definitely parkour.

This is one of the strangest videos I've seen in some time. I have no idea how these people got their cats to climb walls, or why.

One of my cats, lacking access to an outside wall, climbs doorframes. Purely for the joy of it, as near as I can tell.

heyho has it. The soundtrack and the slo-mo replays.

(PS: A sincere and non-sarcastic shoutout to dersins for most gratuitous use of Wikipedia link I've seen in a while. Thank you, I have now read the Wikipedia entry on squirrels. The opening paragraph is a thing of tautological beauty. Every stereotype I have ever held about squirrels and college life in Arkansas has now been confirmed.)

The slow action replay of the cat bouncing off the wall one foot off the ground was just perfect.

This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

Apparently, Sony doesn't want me to view this from Switzerland. Apparently, Sony doesn't understand this kind of shit serves as a reminder to never buy any of their stuff. Just when I was thinking maybe it was time to forgive them.

Sony is helping make Metafilter look bad.

The slow motion did it for me, and the cat at the end. Brilliant.

Goofyy, I get the same message, but I gather from the comments that it's a mashup of cat-jumps and an annoying (also copyrighted) British advert which I've probably seen, so I place the music choice faux pas firmly with the person who created the video.

How the hell do they grip on to stucco like that?

The stucco is almost certainly what they call a "lace" texture. Globs of stucco are smushed down on the finish coat, leaving about 1/16" (1-2 mm) depth of texture. It's good because it hides the cracking that all stucco and cementitious products will inevitably have, and it also hides flaws in the subsurface - sloppy framing, warped walls.

A true smooth stucco, ain't nobody gonna climb it.
