Ciudad de Mexico. A capital in motion.

I guess it was entertaining enough, but I didn't really get the feel that there was much to Mexico City that was all that different from any other city -- or was that the point? I also didn't understand the insertion of the chinese voice over. Is this supposed to be an ad to attract chinese tourists to visit Mexico City? (Nice title for the post, by the way.)

I love Mexico city but...this video didn't really capture what I love about it, the beautiful chaos.
The photostream of Flickr user locaburg does a better job, in my opinion.

I'm sure everyone that knows Mexico City has their own perspective on what makes the city great.

This is still a fun little video to watch.

Great video and super interesting departure from the "grittier" Mexico city narratives outsiders are usually shown.

This would be a good time to repost my favourite Mefi Mexico City photo post.

Only gringos call it Ciudad de Mexico.

Judging by the logo at the beginning and the end of the video, it was sponsored or commissioned by Mexico City's government. That's why it focuses a bit too much, in my opinion, in recent government programs and developments such as the bicycle rentals and biking in Reforma, the Periferico's second floor, the Vasconcelos Library, the Turibús, etc.

It still has many nice imagery and instants. I really liked the people at work in the Central de Abastos (I think) and the children in formation, which brought me back to my school days. That shot of the Angel with the office lights backdrop was lovely.

and yes, wtf the chinese voice/text?
