I was going to comment on this, but I blew up the textarea :(

they don't break down into smaller & harder to shoot ads, do they?

I came here specifically to blow things up on the Blue.

Earlier today I found an exploit on MetaFilter that let me post JavaScript executable links on my profile. Of course, I immediately informed pb and he patched that shit right up.

Had I discovered this little gem first, I would've quietly installed it on there for my own amusement, and not said a word about it to nobody.

It's fun to use on facebook because there are so many things there to shoot, but it starts to get pretty laggy.

No new level after you've blown everything up? *grin*

Yes very satisfying. Kind of emphasizes how much useless crap there is in web pages. Needs sound effects, though.

You're supposed to provide those yourself. Pyew pyew!

I don't mind doing the pyew pyew, but I would like some explosions when I blow things up.

There are other ways to get rid of the "Log In With Facebook" button on third-party web sites, but none so satisfying. Take that, Facebook Connect!

ryoshu, you are an evil, evil man and/or woman.

I love you for that.

I've always wanted to develop a plugin that looked at the "Last-Modified" header of web pages and added mold, ivy, rats, dirt, yellowing, and general decay based on the age. Maybe DIVs would get boarded up and drug deals would start taking place in the margins.

We'd find a business model later.

I know I tried that and it didn't work. And I invented bookmarklets.*

"Nice try, Metafilter." What am I missing?

ryoshu wrote "Alt-F4 launches a bomb."

What you talking about? All it did was hide my cursor. Until I moved it again. This must be one of those things I need Windows to experience? Stupid platform incompatibilities...

Also, it took several tries (because I kept losing the ship off-screen) but I scored around 5600 points killing everything on the front page.

(In my head, this is how I imagine cortex actually deletes bad posts...)

haha, this is satisfying. 'b' shows you available targets. Mefi comments are impervious...
