Walk on the Wild Side

Friday Frivolity: A highlight reel of clips from the BBC show Walk on the Wild Side, featuring voiceovers for animals so you finally get to know what's really going on in all those nature documentaries. This BBC playlist has previews for a lot of the individual episodes. (I got region-blocked on a few of those videos, but most seem to work fine.)

Bonus "If cats could talk" PSA, unfortunately featuring no actual cat footage.

The "Nighttime, Daytime!" game has become a running joke in our household. I love these. I think that all animal shows should be given this treatment.

This clip made its first go-round on the web a few years ago, and I could swear it was posted here back then, but my tag-searching skillz are producing nothing. We all laughed and laughed at the little groundhog calling for Alan. Maybe someone else will do better finding the double.

Ours, too.

Right, there goes my afternoon. (Ooh, look what I found via a couple of hops from this: Santa hats are cool!)

"Nighttime, Daytime!" and "Allen! Allen!" have become running jokes with all of my friends, as well.

I think Fuck Planet Earth has been posted before but it's still one of my favorite talking animal spoofs.

This is my favorite variation.

Unrelated, but I'm going to try and use "region-blocked" as an all-purpose euphemism in the future.

I've just chosen my sockpuppet name from the linked wiki page: "An evil cloned giraffe threatens to "kiss your mum"."

At first I was like great, fart jokes, but then that "Alan" part really worked for me and I don't know why. Probably the accents didn't hurt.
