AT LEAST ONE NATIONAL AND TWO LOCAL T.V. UNITS are fucking things up -- as usual -- the media is in fine form.

Beautiful!

Congratulations on this "discovery." You might be interested to know, however, that the Sam Peckinpah Papers, donated to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Margaret Herrick Library in 1986, contain over FIFTY different treatments and script drafts for THE TEXANS, many of which bear Peckinpah's own extensive annotations. This collection has been catalogued and available to researchers for over twenty years -- so not quite "lost," exactly.

I read the headline as "The first 15 pages of Sam Peckinpah’s long-buried script for C.H.U.D.".

Howard Prouty seems a bit prickly, maybe he got a paper cut that day or something.

I don't understand where the script is. At the bottom of the article is a sort of ad for Google Docs... where's the script?

I'd pay to see this. I'd pay even more if someone could turn Sam Peckinpah's corpse into some kind of zombie director who eats brains, gets drunk, and makes movies like The Wild Bunch and Ride the High Country for a new generation of ingrates.

"They"? Why, they is the plain and fancy they, that's who "they" is! Caught you, didn't they? Tied a tin can to your tail. Led you in and waltzed you out again. Oh my, what a bunch! Big tough ones, hunh? Here you are with a handful of holes, a thumb up your ass, and a big grin to pass the time of day with. They? Who the hell is "they?"

It's an embedded Google Doc at the bottom of the article. Here's a direct link to the PDF.
