Hang Onto Yourself (Arnold Corns version)
My entry into the Summer 2013 Metafilter Music Challenge.
Your Destroyer
This is a rough mix of a nearly finished tune. Wanted to unleash it a bit early.
Summmmmer
To supplement my Music Talk post to the right, I'm looking for a collaborator to take this jam to the next level.
Caffeine Fangs
A creeping tune the style of Melody Nelson era Serge Gainsbourg. Darcy Hancock from the Vancouver band Ladyhawk lends a squalling guitar solo.
Subterranean Homesick Alien
Version # 7248 of this song. My entry into the OK Computer MeFi Challenge.
Do the Wrong Thing
Sometimes you need to do the wrong thing.
This is the first track from the PRISONERS album THIS IS ALL OF THE TIME. We recorded it at the Hive in Vancouver in January.
the two of us
I had a few hours to myself this morning and wrote this song.
Raven
An autumnal song about and for walking to work in the rain. Featuring the piano and a heaping amount of spring reverb.
hypotech
we wrote this song at our space a week or so ago.
Boots of Righteous Defense
The first finished recording for my band's new album.
Our Age (Constantines cover)
Its been too long since I've last posted here. I've been a big fan of the Constantines since the time the Arcade Fire were opening for them. This is a cover of a song off of their new album.
Morning Anger
I am a morning person. My girlfriend, not so much.
Whispers
Part of the unofficial internal mic mefi challenge. A song about a car accident outside my apartment building and the people that come to watch.
Stone Mover
Another demo for our album that is in production. Sung by my friend and drummer Neil who has recently found his voice. A song of regret and the often crushing weight of unconditional love.
Hey settle down
I always hear people describe indie rock as jangly, and I'm not sure what they mean, but this sounds jangly to me.
There are 8 different instruments on this track and I play everything except drums.
So there.
i will be your shadow
Another song by my band the christian science monitors. We are currently on hiatus as we live on different sides of the continent. I hope you like it.
I am a demon and will swallow your soul!
My band, the Christian Science Monitors, will be playing it's last show on the 16th of July in Montreal. We recorded a few songs that we were pretty happy with, and will eventually finish an EP. Let me know what you think.
