designers as DJs

designers.mx is a collection of mixes created and designed by graphic designers. Each mix contains 10 songs and an awesome cover image to tie them all together. Listening is free, but account invites are a hot commodity. posted by kakarott999 (7 comments total) 11 users marked this as a favorite

Based on the twitter feed it looks like I'll have to wait another 4-5 days for new invites...oh well, still can listen.

Well, pooey. Another cool community I'm not invited to. Is this all a reaction to the Facebook-tinged internet as a free-for-all?

Copyright Infringement Alert ... creating a mix CD is not sufficiently transformative to make someone else's music yours to distribute.

Yes, still not yours, even if you make a cute cover!

Also applies to the meta music swap thread on the sidebar.

jannw - each track has links to buy in iTunes and Amazon. Copyright infringement? more like free advertising

I want graphic designers to choose my music as much as they want me to design their images.
