For my Heel entrance it'd be the same song but being performed by a prep school acapella group from Connecticut.

zarq's basically got it. That article was somewhat painful to read since it (understandably) glosses over some of the internal struggles that had been going on at the time and went on maybe a lot longer than they needed to. Founder's Syndrome is a real thing and I'm so happy that mathowie was able to work things into a better place for himself and the site as well.

jessamyn deserves a ton of credit for helping AskMe be the kind of subsite it is, and I don't think that can be overstated. On my crappy 8-year-old computer, MeFi is orders of magnitude faster than pretty much any other website. It's truly impressive how everything has remained so rock-solid and usable over the years.

Such a great point; I have a 5(?) year old iPod Touch that I still use daily, but MeFi is pretty much the only thing that won't crash the browser. Thanks again, pb!
