If you search for sofas or sofa sets on Seattle's Craigslist, you see a lot of new sofas--many leather--being sold "out of the box," "original packaging," etc. for well below retail. Though the sellers are different, often the pictures are similar, like a scan out of a brochure. Anyone have any experience with this, or know what the deal is?

A secret cabal of family members is having a rather big party this summer on the shores of Lake Huron. My mission: arrive in style a la James Bond. I've checked out their security, and although strong on three sides, they haven't guarded the lake. Fools. I would like to arrive via the lake. However, I'm having a tough time with what to wear. Preferably, I'd like to slip out of my wetsuit into a crisp, wrinkle free tuxedo. Is this possible?

Cryptofilter: My daughter is at summer camp and I can snail mail her or I can send email that will be printed out and delivered. The email is fast but readable by whoever prints/delivers the paper etc. Looking for a cipher that would be easy to learn and use...

Every time I get sick (common cold), I get an itch on my back that persists. It's annoying, but as soon as I get better, it goes away. Anyone have any ideas as to what causes it, or am I just a medical anomaly?

What secret society does a gold ring with black triangles-- 10 or so of them-- around its circumference represent? Two of my friends in college (Ivy League) wore these identical rings. When asked about it, they would say "A friend gave it to me," and then change the subject. Rumor had it that these were secret society rings. Any ideas?
