That's assuming we're all using the American calendar notation, which, of course, is not a safe assumption.

Can someone help me figure out how to keep my friend Hannah from being catapulted into another dimension at that exact moment in time?

Well i didn't celebrate odd day, even day, or the unix clock rollover, but i'm definately going to be staring at my digital watch tonight at this time. Thanks for the link.

22:22 and 22 seconds on February 22, 2222 will be cool.

(I'm only mentioning this here so that when someone starts a MeFi thread about this subject on Feb. 18, 2222, I can cry doublepost.)

The last day of seventh grade happened to land on June 7, 1989. It was a half day. And the end of morning announcements, Principal Scott told everyone to look at their watches soon after we all we home, for at 1:23:45 p.m., the digits would all line up, just as it says in that article. So, sure enough, my two best friends and I sat on my bed, staring at our calculator watches, waiting for the seconds to tick over to :45, at which point we jumped up and down in celebration. For a second.

Hmmm, I think this has a place in Pathetic Geek Stories.

I was standing in a grocery store check-out line at 1:23:45, 6/7/89, and I stopped my chit-chat to look at my watch. When I tried to explain to the checker why it mattered, she gave me one of those "huh-what-do-you-know"s that really means please let this conversation end soon.

I Feel Like Writing Haiku
Let The Rhyming Ensue.

(Yes, I know haiku don't normally rhyme, but this special day calls for special haiku.)

Too bad that Haiku doesn't follow the proper structure.

nah -july 8, 1990 was THE date. A little after midnight I took a picture of the clock on my cable channel directory at 12:34:56 7-8-90. Try it again in 2090 suckas!

I, on the other hand, thought this was an interesting little fact in a charming little story. News value? None. But reading it was a fun way to spend two minutes.

I coulda swore we celebrated odd day and even day, and certainly we did unix rollover day.

Hey, any excuse for a party in this joint. 'S why I hang here, y'all.

Here on the Eastern US, it's T minus 17 minutes. The bubbly is chilled.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

It makes for great Windows Desktop Wallpaper...

A great replacement for what I had there before: a frame from the movie Space Jam where Bugs Bunny was about to give Michael Jordan a big sloppy kiss. =)
