Not JJG, but an incredible simulation? Could the Josh Joplin Group be a front for MetaFilter's own jjg? Here's a clue: the band has two web sites, and one of them has a haiku section.

Haven't heard of these guys, but I sure am tired of getting mail regarding Jean-Jacques Goldman and Jordan, Jones & Goulding.

i've been a fan of the josh joplin band/group for 3 or 4 years now. they are based out of atlanta. they changed the name from band to group when they got signed to artemis records about a year and a half ago.

Go Atlanta/Athens music scene! i'm actually about to leave for the Dave Mathews Cover Band, quite possibly the best cover band i've EVER heard. they are identical to dave, they even got the badass violinist. Yes, i am biased towards my college town.

Me, I think the Josh Joplin Group sucks. But that's just me. And it doesn't contribute anything to the discussion. Sorry.
