The first rule of the banjo club should be, play a banjo, not a banjolele.

I'd heard of the banjolele from a friend who's learning to play one, but hadn't seen one until now. Is it really just a uke with a banjo body?

That's basically it, hanoixan. Same scale and tuning as a uke, just with a banjo body. It's also called just a banjo uke around here, as that looks better on a tombstone.

That sounds like the tweest instrument imaginable. I must find one, then find Darren Hanlon and give it to him.

Jeeves disapproves of the banjolele, especially played in the bath.

This was on Ukulele Hunt a few months ago, and it's a good Formby presentation, but for my banjolele rap, I'm leaning toward Mr. B. lately.
And for Formby knockoffs, I like When I'm Doing Acid.
