This was great - very accessible and absolutely brim-full of thought provoking ideas and analogies.

Definitely at its strongest when considering the spread of memetic fashions in cities, among elites, etc. And the point about the “technology ↔ knowledge” feedback loop was very well made. (I’ll even forgive the entirely unnecessary and slightly bizarre attack on “careerist academics” at the end!)
