Ilan Manouach is a comics artist whose works include conceptual pieces appropriating from other comics , AI-generated New Yorker comics (in collaboration with Yannis Siglidis) and a tactile language.

Notable among the appropriative pieces is Katz, a redraw of Art Spiegelman's Maus where all characters are now depicted as cats, which was pulped after a threatened lawsuit from Maus's French publisher.

Has he actually... drawn any comics? Of his own? The work on display here consists of “Maus except some very unsure cat/mouse faces are replacing the original’s mouse/cat faces”, “a reprint of a Smurfs album except every plate is cyan now”, “a justifiably OOP Tintin album translated into the language of the country it badly caricatures”, “a Trondheim album reprinted at the wrong aspect ratio”, “a few collections of work created by crowdsourcing art/text on Mechanical Turk”, and “I fed a ton of New Yorker cartoons into a neural network”.
