Completely new fish species found in plain sight on Great Barrier Reef. The Lady Elliot shrimp goby is the first new fish species discovered on the reef since 2019, much to the delight of the researchers who stumbled across it by chance.

Dr Dudgeon said the [Lady Elliot shrimp goby was] found sharing a burrow with another species, the snapping shrimp.

Apparently Ozmaniankiwi triangle of the.Lands that Time Forgot are embedded in the Ocean that Time Forgot as well. If when they do the DNA analysis and the this little critter turns out to have been around since forever I am just gonna Well, I never. The fecundity of it all.
