Deaf People and World War II

Deaf People and World War II is an NTID project collecting videos, books, articles, links, etc., about the experiences of deaf Europeans, Asians, and North Americans during the war.
Some samples:
David Bloch, an article on a deaf artist who spent two years at Dachau
Exodus, a deaf woman's story of her family's escape from Austria
Ernest Ikeda, a short clip of a deaf man's experience as a kid in Japanese-American internment camps
Survivor testimony of deaf Hungarian Jews
Warning: some of the video players used on the site are less than great, but still worked in the few different browsers I tried.

Sounds like a neat project. Can't wait to hear more about these people's stories.
NTID stands for "National Technical Institute for the Deaf".

My deaf colleague has an ominous "WORLD FEDERATION OF THE DEATH" misprinted address label in his office door.
