Josh Williams! Calling him a singer is accurate, sure, but he's also probably the best bluegrass guitarist there is right now. Also a helluva a good guy by all accounts.

He must be a helluva good guy if he chose being nice to a little bird over showing off his guitar licks.

Well, the jury is still out as to whether it's the singer or the guitar player who gets "all the chicks", but since Josh is both, we can assume he's doing alright.
Just hope that when he tours Australia, no ostrich gets any bright ideas about jumping on his guitar.

That's an unusual spelling of "emu". Perhaps a regional variant.

Whatcha talkin' 'bout Flappy?
We don't have ostriches. I think you mean EMU, possum. And nobody fucks with an aussie emu.
Unless you've both taken an "e".

We have ostriches.
But we also have cassowaries. I can't see one of those bastards sitting quietly on a guitar and allowing itself to be petted.

kinetic, you add "#t=xxmyy" to the end of the Youtube URL, where "xx" = number of minutes and "yy" = number of seconds. You can also just do "#t=xxs" if you like. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzC4hFK5P3g#t=2m11 will put you two minutes and 11 seconds into the video.

While watching the video, right-click on the progress button and you'll get a menu. One of the options will be to obtain a URL for the video which starts at that time index.

Also, just to be a bit of a jerk: someone in the video comments suggested the bird might be sick or injured, based on how it fell out of the rafters and didn't move once it was on the guitar. I'm hoping that's not true, but it would make sense based on the little I know/have seen of injured birds.

The video, of course, was awesome... but I liked the song melody and instrumentation enough to buy it on iTunes, despite my discomfort with the religious lyrics.
On that note, I found it odd that the Jewish peddler chose to refer to himself as a Wandering Jew, since that is an explicitly Christian myth: a Jew who mocked Jesus as he carried the cross to Calvary, and was thus cursed to wander the Earth until Jesus's return. I can't help but think that any observant Jew who would use that terminology is either ignorant, or being deeply ironic.

It would be cool if he kept it and trained it to perform as a capo for his guitar. Or maybe a spare pick holder.
