Very dizzy. But happy. Cool post.

Somewhere in between the MS Paint drawing from 1995 and the computer voice that wanted to tell me about Text Edit and the poetry overlaid on a YouTube video I decided I didn't get it.

Twice in a row Firefox has crashed on me while trying to see the page (second time I at least got a little farther in). I guess this is the bouncer's way of telling me I'm not cool enough for Club Internet.

The Beckett piece was nicely realized.

I found a fair number of Waldos, but I was disappointed at the dearth of Max Headrooms.

Also: is it webcams that tend to make people look doughy and/or sweaty, or are these just doughy and/or sweaty people?

Having been around anglophones quite a bit recently, made me realise that some common Dutch first names seem a bit strange in English; f.i. Joke and Freek. Now I realise that Harm belongs in that list as well.

They do indeed have that effect. Turn off all image enhancement, and set up lighting like you would for a photo shoot. People who look good by default on webcams are freaks.

What is this supposed to be? I get a blank page with something that says TATATAA.CN and then Firefox crashes. Every time I try to visit the link. If it's doing that to Firefox, I'm sure not going to open up some random .cn site in IE. O_o

Works fine for me, Linux iceweasel (which is just rebranded firefox).

It is a bunch of different videos, flash animations, still images, audio recordings, and image galleries that one guy decided were cool, with a link that cycles through them and another, invisible link (I found it because it changed the shape of my mouse cursor) that brings up a panel that gives some background info on each piece like the names of the people that made it and when it was made.

Also TATATAA.CN is the name of one of the pieces, not the host serving any of the material as far as I can tell. That one is actually kind of iffy imo - it is just a looping audio recording of someone using the textedit program on a mac with the audio tool turned on so that it would speak the name of ever menu item as the mouse goes over it.
