You see, we’re, we’re, we’re just like you WERE five years AGO, Mr. Hollywood, California, number-one-show BIG SHOT!!

Does anyone else remember the 1995 TV movie Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare? It starred Robert Hays and a young Ryan Philippe battling the killer bee horde, which, as a solemn title card before the movie claimed, would soon be ravaging the American heartland.

Is there a point to this post?

Michael Moore, btw, has a great bit on the term "Africanized" as applied to bees in Bowling for Columbine.

Oh, weird- my adblocker css file was removing the first link of the post. What's up with that URL?

I think that first link is something up to no good. I don't like urls that have "click.here" in them. Why couldn't you just link to the actual article?

or "click/here=some referral code"

"Why couldn't you just link to the actual article?"

Um... maybe because that link goes to a login page and the "click/here" link doesn't?

Yaaay killer bees! I missed those little guys. They're like the scrappy underdog of media-hyped threats.

This post made my day.

When I was taking flying lessons, one of the questions we were asked was what to do if there was a wasp in the cockpit. I said ignore it and focus flying the plane. But then he asked what would happen if it stung me on they eyeball!
I said it would hurt, but I'd still concentrate on flying the plane.

I see. Well, I blame the bees.
