Industrial Security Clearance Decisions

Industrial Security Clearance Decisions - names omitted to protect the druggies, shameless debtors, and people who keep dual citizenship so as to get through customs quicker. They really don't like people who lie -- esp. when they lie about something that's in public record. Still, the weirdest one is a a guy open about his predeliction for sex with dogs...

Got the link from a friend of mine, who got it from someone who works at the Pentagon. I really wonder why some of these people think they can get security clearance, though I think some cases are of people =losing= clearance they had before, because they're caught with loads of porn on a govt. computer.

But for crying out loud, don't try to get clearance if you've got a long rap sheet. And certainly don't lie about it - it's not like it's difficult for the FBI to look up your record.

I like how the omitted the name of the dog. Is this for the dog's protection? Or so that noone can trace him back to a specific canine?

Hmmm... lying will cause you to be refused security clearance.

So how DO any politicians manage to get cleared?

They don't. Or rather, they don't play by the same rules as the rest of us (suprise suprise) and so they either get clearances regardless, or get information even though they aren't cleared.

And actually, it's not so much lying that they get upset about, it's lying on your application that bugs them.

I think it is safe to say that I will never be granted a Security Clearance. All in all, maybe that's not a bad thing.

My favorite is the person denied clearance because they were helping another country's softball team.
