Lovely: thanks for posting this! How about Menuhin & David Oistrakh performing the Bach Double Violin Concerto (1958)?

I’m fairly sure he performed at the opening of the European Youth Week I was attending in Strasbourg 1995 but can’t find any record of it.

“It's a lot like playing the violin
You cannot start off and be Yehudi Menuhin”

viola tremolo on Eb at 18:55 I see you!

Compared to the people (teenage girls) who have played this in concerto competitions with me in the (accompanying youth) orchestra, I feel like Menuhin plays with a harsher attack.

Funny timing for me. I hadn’t thought about this piece in decades but someone I went to high school with who died this week played it for the youth orchestra concerto competition. I didn’t remember what a lovely piece it is (and can hardly believe a high schooler could play the solo part!)
